So, maybe, I my light usage patterns might not be the best endorsement for Pie on XZ1.Īs for features being removed from the OS, they all apply. I, barely, do any social media or play any games on my phones. Though I have to confess that I don't use too many apps on my phone. On the flip side, I have not encountered any bugs in the software. It's not a deal breaker, but that steller battery backup has become worse. It's not that the battery has drained even though I have not used the phone that day, but rather, by night time, the battery has fallen below 60%, and I know that it won't be enough to take me through out the next day. I, also, have the impression that the standby times are a little worse off than on Oreo. But, now I happens more often than it did with Oreo. Normally, that would not be the case for my usage pattern. I have not changed my habits in the last few days since I updated, but now I find myself a little shocked to see the battery fall below 25% on a long day. I have not tested it scientifically or anything, but my impression of Android Pie, based on my daily usage, is that the battery life has taken a hit. ![]()
